No More Guessing – Hear EQ Changes Live With This Free Audacity Plugin!

I found this free realtime EQ plugin from within Audacity and I took it for a test drive. It’s a good EQ plugin and it’s FREE! If you’re looking for a good realtime EQ plugin and you don’t want to spend a lot of money for it, give this one a try. This was the first time I’ve used this free plugin and I liked it. I normally use Fabfilter’s Pro-Q plugin for my EQ but it’s not free. This one is free and from what I can tell so far, it’s more than adequate for spoken word recordings like podcasts, audiobooks, and voiceovers.

I recorded this video in Ecamm Live and edited it in Final Cut Pro. I normally use Camtasia for both recording and editing my teaching videos. I miss being able to zoom in and out as I’m moving through a screen. What are your thoughts? Is this method adequate or should I go back to Camtasia? Let me know in the comments. Thanks for watching…

Audacity Version 4: Living in the Wait

This video is a thank you to all of you as I’ve passed the 9,000 subscriber mark! I’ve had this channel for 5 years now and the growth has been steady and consistent and I have you to thank. I’m also at a crossroads with this channel as I wait for version 4 of Audacity which I hear is coming out this year. So I’m asking for your input: is there a topic you would like me to teach that I haven’t covered yet or that you would like to see explained or demonstrated in the current version of Audacity (3.7.4)? Let me know in the comments and again, thank you!!
